Lonsdale 'Shark Gutter'Maxdepth: 10mExperience: 03-Apr Named Shark Gutter by some uninformed land lubber this site offers wreckage which includes crockery, slate and brass plus long kelp with fish hiding amongst it's strands. Crayfish are usually seen but this is within the Marine Reserve so everything is protected. Starting in 10m of water and moving into a narrow shallow gutter, the diver is whisked along by the current. Ledges enable you to duck under where you spy crays and fish and swimthrus making the dive even better. Finally you are 'spat' out of the gutter and drift towards the pier where the boat is waiting to opick you up. |
