  • Hull lies upright, N-S orientation, bow points south
  • Broken just in front of the conning tower, forward section lies slightly to the starboard
  • Stern nestled in the sandstone reef

  • Rediscovered in 1984 by the Melbourne Bottom Scratcher's Club.
  • 4 bow torpedo tubes can be seen in forward section
  • Stern: rudder, crew quarters, engine bed
  • Hulk has been hollowed out
  • Large deck openings to view inside
  • Conning tower completely intact
  • Plaque at base of conning tower commemorating its rediscovery
  • Inside look out for: brass fittings, wiring, wood flooring, lead sheeting & bulkheads
